a day in the life of me, on a sunday

A walk and lunch by the beach, beautiful San Clemente beach. Walking with my mom.

A drive up to Los Angeles, to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to score a student rush ticket to ABT's Othello. Watching Julie Kent is always a treat, and she was ethereal as the divinely good Desmedona. For a much more detailed review, check out Saturday Matinee.

Meeting blog superstars, from Ranting Details...in person! Jackie Reyes is on the left, and Adrienne Schulte is on the right. Both ABT corps dancers, it was a pleasure to meet them in person! I felt like I knew them, after reading about them on Matt's blog. Adrienne is leaving us (I talk like I am in ABT) for London, where I hope she will get promoted soon, to where she belongs. Fabulous Bianca, Adrienne!

I also said hello to Marcelo, who greeted me with a kiss. *swoon*

Afterwards, sangria and mojitos nearby at Ciudad. Funny how my parking cost more than the drinks. A great day...

That's hilarious what you said about recognizing the dancers from Ranting Details - I felt the same way when I saw Adrienne Schulte dance in the Commedia divertissements in the afternoon! I was like "hey-- I feel like I know you..."

Sounds like you had quite a lovely day. Nothing's more ideal than some beach and some ballet.

it creates this weird sense of familiarity doesn't it?

That's so cool that you met everyone (and got a kiss from Marcelo!) I know, I read on Matt's blog that Adrienne is leaving -- I'm so sad, she was starting to become a familiar face and I was really starting to like her... I'm sure she'll do well in London. Okay, I'll have to read your Saturday Matinee blog!

How great to see your picture of my girls.....oh how I miss them? I'm still in mourning about Adrienne and don't know how the blog will continue without her....I'm kind of joking but kind of not :-)
