Ken and I both wondered whether Xiomara is really injured, or Ferri just wished to perform today, nearing her retirement. Seeing Ferri's perfect Manon on Monday, we were thrilled to be lucky enough to experience it once more. (She is retiring next week, and has only three more planned performances at ABT).
Afterwards, I met up with two Mailman friends, Julia and Oksana to explore Brooklyn. I had never been to Brooklyn Heights before, and we ventured out there to try Oksana's favorite restaurant, Noodle Pudding in the neighborhood. We took a post dinner stroll in the beautiful streets (Julia said the streets reminded her of Washington D.C...yay!), and took some quick photos (albeit dark ones) along the river, with the beautiful cityline in the background. It was cold so we didn't linger long. More goodbyes... but I have no doubt we will keep in touch, we are now public health professionals just venturing out into the world to make it a better place! (or at least we are trying to anyways)

that wig looks like the same wig that lea salonga wears after fantine's "fall from grace".
There have been all kinds of weird casting changes at ABT lately... So sad to see you going, but at least it's not very far! I'll be interested to hear how you like DC! Definitely keep blogging from there.
Apparently really injured as now Ferri is doing one MORE Manon (on sat).
I saw her last night--beautiful!!!
Sorry we wont get to meet. I'm sure you'll come back to visit though?
